Hatters rated v Hartlepool
Stephen O’Donnell: 6 - Shaky defensive display from the full back who found Nathan Thomas a handful all afternoon. One moment when he bizarrely tried to let the ball run across his own goal almost proved very costly.
Jake Howells: 6 - Another who was kept honest by visiting winger Jake Gray throughout as Hartlepool looked dangerous when they ventured forward on either flank.

Hide AdAlan Sheehan: 7 - Brought the ball out from defence expertly as he looked to get Luton going from the back. Late on though some of his crossfield attempts to pick out a team-mate did become slightly telegraphed.
Scott Cuthbert: 6.5 - Outjumped for Pools’ leveller which didn’t please boss Nathan Jones, but kept the in-form Billy Paynter quiet for the majority of the afternoon.
Alex Lawless: 6.5 - Calm and assured when in possession as he kept play ticking over well from midfield. Withdrawn late on as Luton opted to change formation and press for a winner.
Olly Lee: 6 - Plenty of the ball once more as will happen with the new system, but didn’t fully make the most of it, often turning back to his defenders. Having said that, was his ball over the top that led to Mackail-Smith’s late winner.

Hide AdDanny Green: 7 - Excellent deliveries from the right flank, most notably in the first period and had Hatters been able to get someone on the end of them, could have been a more comfortable afternoon.
Cameron McGeehan (STAR MAN): 7 - Some now trademark bursts forward from the midfielder and came desperately close to an opening just moments after the break. Showed a customary cool head to slot away the penalty for his 11th of the campaign.
Jack Marriott: 6 - Gave his all in the wider role without ever looking totally convincing. Looked happier to be back in a central position when Town altered to go with two up top.
Joe Pigott: 5.5 - Difficult afternoon for the on-loan striker as lacked any real support during his 80 minutes on the pitch, often forced to come deep to look for possession, which stunted his ability to get into the box.

Hide AdRyan Hall (SUB): 5.5 - Came on to give Luton some more width in the closing stages, but saw very little of the ball.
Craig Mackail-Smith (SUB): 6.5 - Involved straight away and showed nerves of steel to go through and lift his effort over Carson after such a lengthy barren run in front of goal.
Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu (SUB): 6.5 - A bundle of energy in his makeshift right back position. Turn of pace helped in the build-up to the winner too.
