Hatters rated v Yeovil Town

Elliot Justham: 5.5 - Nervy evening for the keeper whose handling and distribution were called into question throughout. Sarcastic cheers won't do much for his confidence though.

Stephen O’Donnell: 6.5 - Was responsible for some of Luton’s better moments going forward as he galloped down the right flank at every opportunity. Sometimes left frustrated he wasn’t given the ball earlier though.

Jake Howells: 6.5 - Got up in support of Mackail-Smith whenever he could and was solid at the back too as Yeovil didn’t get too much joy on his flank.

Scott Cuthbert: 6 - Solid enough aerially against Zoko and played some nice passes into the strikers at times, although too often he opted for the longer approach.

Alan Sheehan: 7 - A truly wonderful hit from the centre half, who is proving a highly impressive acquisition. Had to wait and wait for the ball to drop before executing a magnificent volley. Defending not too shabby either.

Olly Lee: 5.5 - Big chance for Lee as he had the chance to dominate midfield. Saw plenty of the ball, particularly in the first half, but never managed to fully make the most it.

Alex Lawless: 6.5 - Energetic display from Lawless once more as he kept things ticking over in central midfield. Tracked back and also bombed on to good measure.

Cameron McGeehan: 5.5 - Midfielder was always involved but too often opted for the spectacular shot from distance when team-mates were far better placed. Might have won it but for the woodwork late on.

Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu: 5.5 - One of those evenings where nothing really came off for Pelly. On the plus side, his injury problems appear to finally be over with a third consecutive start.

Craig Mackail-Smith (STAR MAN): 7 - Tried his absolute heart out on the left flank and did his best to get the crowd going with some trademark bursts forward. Would like to see him more centrally though.

Joe Pigott: 5.5 - Struggled to fully get in the game as he was well shackled by the visitors defence and left working off scraps for long periods.

Jack Marriott (SUB): 6.5 - Livened up the evening with some pacey runs and came close to a winner, shooting wide.

Paddy McCourt (SUB): 7 - Game was crying out for his inventiveness and he opened up the Glovers defence a number of times during his late cameo.

Paul Benson (SUB): 5.5 - On late on once more but couldn’t find that last-gasp winner.
