The trip is Town’s second longest of the season, at over 250 miles, but Griffiths doesn’t think that should affect him or his team-mates.

He said: “The toughest part of it i the journey. Once you get there you can relax and get your mind on the game.

“If everyone prepares properly, I don’t see why it would be any different to any other game.

“If we go there, prepare right, we can come away with something.”

Griffiths himself will be familiar with the Home Park surroundings, having spent time on loan at Plymouth before joining Luton two seasons ago.

He continued: “I went on loan there for six weeks, I enjoyed my time there. It’s a nice club, the area’s a lovely place and at the time I liked the gaffer (Carl Fletcher) there.

“Things have changed though and we want to go there and get the points. As long as we don’t come away with a loss, it’s not a bad result considering their defensive record.”

The full back is also well aware of the abilitis of now Argyle boss John Sheridan too, as he added: “I haven’t really looked at their team recently, but I know their manager from when I won the league with Chesterfield with him a few years ago.

“I know he’s capable of putting a good team together and it’s going to be tough for us.”
