New Luton Town defender Johnny Mullins was ‘chuffed’ to be lining up alongside former Oxford team-mate Danny Hylton once more.
The pair, who helped U’s achieve promotion to League One last term, both agreed two year deals with the Hatters recently.
“I’m sure after two games or one game, people will be raving about what he can bring to the football club.”Johnny Mullins
On Hylton, Mullins said: “He’s brilliant and the quality he has, I can talk about his quality until the day the cows come home.
“His work-rate, his endeavour, he’s so infectious in what he does.
“He drags people with him and he’s a great lad, he’s a winner, he’s good to have around the place.
“I’m sure after two games or one game, people will be raving about what he can bring to the football club.
“He does it every day in training, he’s an absolute nuisance, and he’s one of them you want in your team.
“Having him in the side trying to achieve what we want to achieve this season is an absolute bonus and I’m chuffed to bits he’s come as well.
“I’m looking forward to working and training with him and seeing him improving as well.”
Meanwhile, when asked about Mullins, who was skipper at the Kassam Stadium last term, Hylton added: “He played 50 games for Oxford last season and Ox ford finished with the best defensive record in the league, so he was a massive part of that.
“He was captain, he’s a proper centre half and he can play, so he’s a fantastic signing for the club.”
