Mark Tyler: 6 - Didn’t look as confident coming off his line as in recent weeks. Once again left hugely exposed by Luton’s defence on both occasions that Crawley scored.
Sean Long: 6.5 - Decent debut for the youngster who settled in well on his first Football League start. Few moments of inexperience as expected, but liked to get forward at every opportunity and put in some good crosses too.
Dan Potts: 6 - Good first half from the full back as he looked to add width on the left whenever possible. Like the rest of the side it went downhill in the second period as he never got out and too slow in shutting Edwards down for Crawley’s first.
Luke Wilkinson: 5.5 - Unusual off-day for Wilkinson who had kept Crawley’s front-line quiet in the first period. Struggled to do afterwards though and would have expected to do better for both of the home side’s goals
Scott Cuthbert: 5.5 - Looked unexpectedly shaky for long periods in the second half as Crawley’s front-line started dominating. Distribution particularly iffy too as Hatters couldn’t build from the back.
Nathan Doyle: 6 - Promising first half on his return the side as switched the ball around well and kept things moving. Couldn’t do the same after the break though as Luton lost their grip on proceedings.
Jonathan Smith: 6 - Another who looked good early on with some well-timed attacking runs and managed to get in position to fire off two shots. Like the rest though, went into his shell after the interval.
Olly Lee: 6 - Kept Luton ticking in the opening 45 minutes with some intelligent passing to the wings. Made way early in the second half though and might consider himself unfortunate to have been replaced.
Cameron McGeehan: 6 - Remarkable habit of popping up in the right place at the time is proving a massive bonus for Luton. Did so again but his frustration at a poor team performance was obvious late on.
Jack Marriott: 6 - Another who looked dangerous when Hatters were in control during the first period. Wasn’t helped by disjointed second half though and put a good chance over before being replaced.
Craig Mackail-Smith: 5.5 - Few openings in the first half that he might have done better with but Luton’s shocking second period saw the striker reduced to chasing lost causes.
Paddy McCourt (SUB): 5.5 - Back after international duty but his trickery never looked like breaking through this time.
Josh McQuoid (SUB): 5 - On for the final 20 minutes but added very little in terms of an attacking threat.
