Luton Town boss Nathan Jones remains confident of agreeing a new deal with midfielder Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu
The 23-year-old is currently mulling over a new contract offered to him by the club, although is yet to put pen to paper.
However, when asked if he was hopeful of concluding a deal for the former West Ham midfielder, who has been at Kenilworth Road since December 2013 and made 24 apperances last season, Jones said: “It’s just taking a bit of time.
“With young players, in terms of Pelly, Cameron McGeehan or Jack Marriott, they don’t only have themselves and agents, but parents and guardians that obviously want to see what we’re doing with their future.
“So it’s been a hectic two weeks with revisiting everyone and saying ‘this is what we’re looking to do, how we’re move forward and we see people as integral parts’.”
