Keeper Elliot Justham is confident of securing his future at Kenilworth Road before the season is over.
The 24-year-old is out of contract in the summer, but has impressed since taking over from injured number one Mark Tyler in recent weeks.
“I want to battle with Mark when he’s fit and hopefully I’ve given the gaffer a bit of thinking to do.”Elliot Justham
There had been internet speculation that Justham was being lined up by other League Two clubs, although the former East Thurrock man wasn’t interested in that.
He said: “I’ll be staying here. I’ve got a contract in motion and I don’t read all that.
“I’m loving it here. Hopefully I can challenge Mark next year and try to cement that number one place at the start of the season if not during the season, so I’m looking forward to staying here.

Assistant boss Terry Harris: “I’m delighted for Elliot as his start positions were very good. His kicking was excellent and I’m pleased for him.
“He came in at a difficult time, I don’t really think he made a mistake to be fair. He’s had broad shoulders to carry that through and I think he’s been fantastic
I’m pleased for the back four as well as we do a lot of back four work throughout the week, so hopefully that’s turned it round.”
