Midfielder Cameron McGeehan believes Hatters will be operating with a smaller squad next season.
During parts of the last campaign, Town had over 40 players on their books, but that number is now down to under 30 with manager John Still releasing 10 and transfer listing a further six.
“We’re looking at a strong squad next year under a top manager.”Cameron McGeehan
After becoming the fourth addition of the summer along with Jack Marriott, Scott Cuthbert and Dan Potts, McGeehan said: “The manager and Gary Sweet came out and said there were too many players.
“When I got there, I did think there were a lot of players and there were a lot in the Conference too.
“Maybe this year we’ll have a tighter group as there has been a big turnover and we’re looking at a strong squad next year under a top manager.”
McGeehan believes his game will thrive under the tutelage of Hatters boss Still and for the full story, see the News/Gazette on sale now.
