Former Luton Town loanee Cameron McGeehan has joined League Two rivals Cambridge United on a month’s loan.
The 19-year-old Norwich City midfielder made 18 appearances for the Hatters on their way to the Conference title last season, scoring three goals.
He had been linked with a move back to Kenilworth Road in the summer, but the Canaries demands were in excess of what Town were willing to pay.
Luton boss John Still recently confirmed he would be interested in bringing McGeehan to the club again, although only on a permanent basis.
The midfielder will be at the R Costings Abbey Stadium until February 16, with Cambridge visiting Luton on January 31, while he is also eligible to play in the FA Cup fourth round tie against Manchester United.
On the move, McGeehan tweeted: “Happy to have signed for CambridgeUtdFC on loan with some tasty fixtures coming up (to say the least) thanks for all the messages.”
