Hatters midfielder Cameron McGeehan has targeted a winning run from now until the end of the season.

Luton host league leaders Burton Albion at Kenilworth Road this afternoon ahead of matches with Dagenham & Redbridge, Hartlepool, Southend and Stevenage.

“I think we’ll go on a little run now, we’ll be up for the match and it’s going to be a great game.”

With Town just one point off the play-offs and finally ending a run of seven straight defeats by beating Tranmere on Monday, McGeehan said: “We’ve got five games to go, why can’t we win them all?

“I know they did it earlier in the season, they went on a good run, so we can do it again.

“Play-offs are the aim and if we can get in that we really fancy ourselves.

“It’s about putting a run together, like a lot of the teams are trying to do and it starts against Burton on Saturday.

“I think we’ll go on a little run now, we’ll be up for the match and it’s going to be a great game.

“The fans will be there with their voices loud and hopefully we can produce a similar sort of performance as we’ve got to make sure we get that four or five wins to get in the play-offs.”

Meanwhile, boss John Still will give his side license to try and reach the top seven as he said: “I said to the players, let’s just go for it.

“If we get beat, we get beat. Lets try and do it and if we can, we should have quite a few players back properly fit for what could be an exciting end to the season.”

McGeehan was part of Town’s side who won promotion from the Conference last season and wants to repeat that experience this term.

He said: “It was the best feeling going up and getting promoted as a team.

“It’s much tougher this year. It’s a tough league and there are no bad teams, even those at the bottom.

“Every team is very similar and there is not much between them as little fractions make all the difference.
