The visitors notched three times in the second period to condemn Town to their second defeat in front of their own fans this term. Here's how the Town players rated on the day.

Keeper could do little about Stewarts first goal, although won't be happy beaten at his near post for the second. Desperately unlucky with the third, given little chance by Potts ill-judged intervention.
Made a few good challenges to prevent Grosicki getting away, but was also found wanting a few times yet again as Hull had some joy when attacking Towns right back.
Didnt ever really venture forward enough as Luton lacked the width needed. Should have done better to cut the cross out for Hull's opener and then a great chance from Shinnies corner, only to put his header too close to Long.
Kept things tight in the first half, as Luton looked solid enough at the back. Unable to stop Town falling apart defensively after the break and went back to Sluga far too many times despite the tempo needing to be raised.
Bar one moment when turned by Eaves in the first period seemed to have the measure of the Hull attackers. Unfortunate to see his challenge on Magennis lead to the opener, but Town can't keep defending as they are.
Energy cant be questioned and linked the play well, particularly during the opening 45 minutes. Came close from range, but needed more support from his fellow midfielders as Hull started running riot.
Looked Towns most likely source of creating a goal in the first half as he drove forward and brought others into play. Not quite robust enough at times and didn't track Stewart for the opener, before immediately replaced.
Caught on the ball a few times when under pressure in the first period, giving City the only chances they looked like scoring from. Never really able to exert any influence from an attacking point of view either.
Bright start to the game as he got on the ball and gave Hull some problems, winning a few dangerous free kicks too. Replaced immediately after the deadlock was broken though.
Had a few good openings on the right, one shot blocked after being found by Brown. Final ball was disappointing though, as he couldnt pick out a team-mate with any real regularity.
Cut a increasingly frustrated figure as the game more on. Didn't have any real opportunities on goal, too often dropping deep to try and get involved, which isn't really his game.
Lively from the moment he came on as he tried to find a way back into the game for Luton with some tricky bursts into the box. Pushing for a start now.
On for Brown as Luton changed things quickly when falling behind. Took up some decent positions, but Town didn't have enough about them to find an equaliser.
Great chance to level it for the Hatters, glancing a header over the top. No need to get involved for Hull's comical third, Sluga having it covered, as it capped off a miserable afternoon.
