LOAN WATCH: Banton plays his part as Saints triumph

The 20-year-old played a major role in the game’s only goal on 58 minutes too as his bursting run forward saw a cross delivered for ex-Hatters forward Charlie Walker to hook an excellent acrobatic volley into the net.

Banton, who headed to Clarence Park on loan until the end of the season last week, almost added a second himself, but lost his footing when bearing down on goal.

Liam Gooch also enjoyed a shut out on his debut for Biggleswade Town in the Southern League Premier Division 3-0 win over Dorchester Town,

U18s striker James Verney made his debut for Dunstable Town as a 70th minute substitute in their 1-0 win at King’s Lynn in the same league, although Harry Bean missed out with illness.
