LOAN WATCH: King beaten twice after extending Southport stay

Luton goalkeeper Craig King couldn't celebrate news of his loan deal with Southport being extended until the end of the season, as they were beaten 2-0 by Braintree on Saturday.

The visitors went down to a Same Come double (42 and 57) in their National League clash to remain bottom of the table, although Town centre back Frankie Musonda didn’t feature for the hosts.

Striker Craig Mackail-Smith was unable to add to his impressive tally of three in two games as Peterborough were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Oldham Athletic in League One.

Former Luton stopper Mark Tyler was in goal for the hosts, as Junior Morais (73) equalised Lee Erwin’s 11th minute strike.

Josh McQuoid started for Stevenage as they hammered Portsmouth 3-0 in League Two, replaced on 67 minutes.

Keeper Liam Gooch was an unused sub for Kettering Town in their 3-3 draw at Frome Town in the Southern League Premier Division, while Harry Bean played 67 minutes as Dunstable were hammered 5-0 by promotion-chasing Leamington.
