The 38-year-old is expected to link up with former club Peterborough United in a player coach role, ending his Luton career on 297 appearances.

When asked about the void Tyler will leave, Cuthbert said: “He’s an absolute legend, a great guy, the youngest 38-year-old I know anyway.

“He looks so young for his age and he’s different class. That’s his hometown though, his home club, where he started his career.

“It’s fantastic for him to go there and carry on his playing career and coaching, but he’ll be missed because he was a big legend at the club and all the fans love him.

“When you go into the lounge after the game, he’s there, on the wall with all the other legends so that speaks for itself doesn’t it.

“I wish him all the best because he was a great guy, great professional as well.”
