AFC opener is changed again
The proposed noon kick-off has now been put back to 7.45pm, although Luton fans face strict stipulations imposed by West Mercia Police to get tickets. Away supporters will need to purchase a receipt from the Luton Town ticket office and details of each individual will need to be recorded.
All supporters will need to exchange this receipt for a match ticket at rendezvous point at Shifnal Service Station (J4 of M54) at 6pm on the day of the game.

This also applies to any supporters who will travel to the game by train.
A statement on the club’s official website read: “Luton Town FC, AFC Telford United and The Football Conference would like to apologise to all supporters for the severe inconvenience that these arrangements will undoubtedly cause. However, had we not agreed to these stipulations set out by West Mercia Police the game would have been postponed, something than both Clubs and the Football Conference wanted to avoid at all costs, especially as it is the opening game of the season.
“A suggestion had been made to switch the fixtures and play vs AFC Telfiord United at Kenilworth Road on that day, however due to demolition works taking place at the ground that weekend linked to the Council’s Luton to Dunstable guided busway, the Club was unable to host a fixture on the opening weekend.

Tickets are priced £13 for adults, £10 for concessions, £5 for 14-18-years-olds and £1 U14s. There will also be a 50p admin fee for each ticket charged at point of sale.
Diamond season ticket holders can get two per person currently, with normal season ticket holders able to do the same from tomorrow until Monday. They will then go on general sale.
A spokesman for AFC Telford United said: “We would urge supporters of both clubs to attend the game in numbers and get behind what should be a fantastic occasion.”
