Battling Romans will be no walkover warns Town chief

Money expecting Bath to put up quite a fight

IN-FORM Bath City will be no pushovers this weekend according to Town boss Richard Money, writes Mark Wood.

The Romans may only have lost two all season at home but they have also only won three, drawing six.

Money refused to take them for granted, saying: “It’s going to be a crucial match.

“We’ve got the top two to play this month but they are in the future, we must get ready for Saturday and it will be a tough game.

“I think if you look at the form charts we are top and Bath are second.”

Bath’s fine run coincided with the signing of veteran midfielder Alex Russell.

The 37-year-old played 12 times, scored twice and appeared in just two defeats for City as they climbed away from the relegation zone, but he was snapped up earlier this week by Yeovil Town.

Luton don’t appear to have any new injury worries ahead of the weekend, but Money may well be tempted to freshen it up to help preserve their fine league form, although he felt Saturday’s performance against Rushden & Diamonds merited the same starting XI on Tuesday.

He added: “It’s not as though we have been playing week in, week out so Saturday, Tuesday won’t hurt them. We need to be able to freshen it up when we need to. We are bound to pick up an injury somewhere and when we do we need to be able to replace them with the same type of player.

“We are going to need everybody, there’s no doubt about that in our minds.”
