Benson was always coming back
Town striker Paul Benson admitted he was never looking to go anywhere else after his release from Swindon Town.
The 34-year-old spent last season on loan at Kenilworth Road from the League One side and scored 18 goals in 38 games, before his permanent switch was made official this week.
Benson, who was also named Conference player of the month for December, said: “It’s good to finally get it done and I’m look forward to an exciting season for the club and for myself.
“This was the only one I was looking for, so I’m glad that the gaffer and myself have managed to get it sorted.”
