Brabin given ‘food for thought’ as subs do the business

GIVE me food for thought was manager Gary Brabin’s call to all the players in his squad after he saw his substitutes inspire the Hatters to a 3-1 comeback victory over QPR on Friday night, writes Mark Wood.

Brabin lamented the lack of influence his substitutes had last term and wants more from them in the forthcoming campaign.

He said: “I talk about a reaction. One of the things I was really disappointed about last season, I genuinely wants subs. They are the most important thing when you are going into a game. When things are a little bit sticky you want people to come on and give you a reaction.”
