On-loan midfielder Izzy Brown has thanked the Luton supporters after his loan spell at Kenilworth Road ended with the Hatters staying in the Championship.

The 23-year-old was at the 3-2 win over Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night, part of the post match celebrations, after Town confirmed their place in the second tier of English football.

Brown, who signed in August on a season-long loan from Stamford Bridge, missed the final few games of the campaign with an Achilles injury, but played a big role in Town staying up, making 28 appearances and scoring once, that in a 2-1 win over Charlton back in November.

Writing on Twitter, Brown said: "Thank you @LutonTown for everything over this past season!

"We’ve had some lows and some highs but Wednesday topped everything!

"We worked hard everyday to be able to say we’re going to be playing in the championship next season & now we can say this!!

"Thank you fans, love you all."
