The Hatters go into the game as underdogs, as they are a category three youth side compared to their category two opponents, but Driver remains confident having seen his side unbeaten in 15 games this term, winning 13 and drawing two.

After going out to non-league Oxford City in the second round last season, Driver told the FA’s official website: “We don’t know a great deal about Colchester, but we are only worried about ourselves.

“Last year we got knocked out at Oxford City, which on paper looked like a good draw, so we are not thinking about it too much.

“We have got a lot of confidence, we are flying high in the league at the moment and we are looking forward to the opportunity, to play a competitive game against a team from a higher league.

“There is the chance to go further and maybe play a Premier League team which is something we are hoping to do.”

Driver, who has been at Kenilworth Road for five years now, believes has he the premium crop of talent available to him in that time too, adding: “I would say this is the best group I have had in my five years here.

“Whether that translates into bringing through lads into the first team we will have to wait and see.”
