Drury leaves Hatters for Spitfires

Luton Town midfielder Andy Drury has left the club to move to National League side Eastleigh.

The 31-year-old, whom boss John Still admitted to the News/Gazette last week he would listen to offers for, was released from his contract by mutual consent, and swiftly joined the Spitfires, who have also brought in Hatters striker Ross Lafayette.

Drury returned to Kenilworth Road for his second spell at the beginning of last season, with Luton shelling out £100,000 to Crawley Town for his services.

However, he could never reach the heights of his first time with the club, and despite scoring twice in 39 appearances, was in and out of the side, as he eventually lost his place and didn’t feature for the final seven games.
