The 31-year-old scored his first goal of the season in the 1-0 win at Plymouth Argyle and was also on target during the 3-2 victory over Cambridge United on Saturday.

Drury is up against Ben Coker (Southend United), Rory Donnelly (Tranmere Rovers) and Matt Ingram (Wycombe Wanderers), as on his nomination, Sky Bet’s website read: “Drury made a classy contribution to Luton’s promotion push with two goals during January, including a sweet finish in the 1-0 win at Plymouth Argyle.

“His calmness on the ball and passing ability also helped him to provide two assists in the month.”

Drury will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Luke Wilkinson and Mark Cullen who have both won the award this season, with the winner announced on Friday.
