EXCLUSIVE: Still hoping to sign Ogogo

Hatters boss John Still has confirmed to the News/Gazette that he is looking to bring ex-Dagenham & Redbridge captain Abu Ogogo to the club.

It was Still who signed Ogogo, now 25, from Arsenal when boss at Dagenham in June 2009, and he went on to play over 200 times for the Daggers.

He is now a free agent after rejecting a new contract at Victoria Road and the Luton chief, who ruled out a move for Dover Athletic’s Nicky Deverdics, is anticipating a fierce battle for the right back turned midfielder’s signature, saying: “We’ve been talking to Abs so we’ll see how that works out.

“We’d like to do that, but there’ll be others interested in him so we’ll see.”
