Luton Town's Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday have signed Chelsea midfielder Izzy Brown, who was at Kenilworth Road last term, on loan for the 2020-21 season.

The highly-rated 23-year-old made 28 appearances for the Hatters after heading to Kenilworth Road from Stamford Bridge, scoring once, that coming in a 2-1 win over Charlton Athletic.

Although suffering from injury during his time with Luton, Brown produced some starring displays, with a number of assists for top scorer James Collins.

It had been reported that Brown might be returning to the Hatters, but that is now not the case, as his move to the Owls was confirmed yesterday, Garry Monk's side starting the season on minus-12 points after being hit with the penalty by the EFL.

Writing on Twitter, Brown said: "Delighted to have completed my move to SWFC for the season.

"A massive club with a great history and I can’t wait to get going in a few weeks."
