Frustration fuels Willmott

FRUSTRATED Town winger Robbie Willmott has been left to ruminate all summer on his poor showing in last month’s Blue Square Bet Premier play-off final defeat to AFC Wimbledon, writes Mark Wood.

The livewire winger had impressed with a string of exciting performance since signing from Cambridge United in January, but was strangely missing that zing in the final at Eastlands.

He said: “It was my third play-off final in three years and I’ve lost all three, so I’ve not got a very good record.

“I think I put in a poor performance. I think I let myself down.”
