Brabin in line to succeed Money in the future

CHARISMATIC Hatters coach Gary Brabin is being groomed for the Kenilworth Road manager’s job, writes Mark Wood.

The Liverpudlian has been linked with the vacant Grimsby Town manager’s job, but managing director Gary Sweet asserted Brabin is going nowhere and his long term future lies with Luton.

Town’s assistant manager is being priced as second favourite for the Mariners top job at 5/2 and is reported to have been interviewed before sacked Neil Woods was handed the job in 2009.

Sweet isn’t expecting any official approach from Grimsby and is keen for Brabin’s long term future to be at Luton.

He said: “He is going nowhere. He has got a contract and he is going to abide by it.”
