Great goal - but Still wants more from Green

The winger fired home a spectacular free kick in a 1-1 draw with Southend United in the development team’s cash at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday.

But the Luton boss said there was still more work for Green to do to earn a place in the first team.

He said: “I haven’t seen enough (from him). I know what Dan’s capable of, he’s done terrific for me, he’s a very very good player.

“But this is a business, I say, if you think you are the best in your position do you think I would not play you?

“Dan’s working hard and he’s got to keep working hard and produce in training and development games the sort of performance so I know he’s back to what I know he can do.

“He scored a terrific free kick here, he’s very good at them, but his whole game has got to be up to the level that he would be happy with. If you asked him if he would be happy with his game, I would be surprised if he would be 100 per cent happy.”
