Guttridge prepared to go out in a ‘blaze of glory
The 32-year-old made his return from a long-standing metatarsal problem that threatened to curtail his career early last week.
He completed a second 90 minutes for Luton against Accrington on Saturday, almost a year to the day from when he fractured his metatarsal against Alfreton Town that ended his season.

Hide AdAlthough there is a chance he could re-injure his foot, Guttridge said: “I’d rather go in a blaze of glory than with a whimper, so I’m not looking at it any different.
“If it goes, it goes, that’s football, that’s life, I can’t do anything about it.
“I’ve always enjoyed my football, no more now than I ever had before.
“The more I can play, brilliant, and I still think I’ve got a few years left in me.”

Hide AdGuttridge is aware though that he needs to manage his injury, particularly due to the severity of its nature, while the midfielder has turned to a new shock treatment to combat the problem and is currently reaping the benefits.
