Hatters are at the races
LUTON Town players and staff spent an afternoon at Newmarket races on Wednesday courtesy of league sponsors Blue Square. Luton manager Gary Brabin and chairman Gary Sweet presented the winning jockey of the Blue Square Fielden Stakes – Frankie Dettori - with his winning trophy, joined by Alan Alger from Blue Square.
Finding the winning touch was Lloyd Owusu who backed 6/1 winner Sir Reginald in an earlier race – his insight coming from something far easier than form study or the sponsors’ tips as he said: “I just picked it because I live on Reginald Street.”
The Hatters are the 9/4 favourites to win the play-offs with the league sponsors.
