Luton boss Nathan Jones admits there is still time for the members of his squad who will become free agents this summer to push their way into his thoughts for not only next season, but beyond.

The Hatters will have a fair few out of contract at the end of the campaign, including the likes of top scorer James Collins, Matty Pearson, Sonny Bradley, George Moncur and Dan Potts.

Although Jones had made his mind up on a few already, with full back Brendan Galloway one of those who is definitely leave, when asked if he knew just who he would be trying to keep, he said: “Pretty much we do, but there’s still room for manoeuvre on a lot.

“Last year, if I’m honest, I was very loyal to everyone and renewed pretty much all my group and I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I did, pretty much everyone I brought to the club, I renewed.

“This year now we’ve got decisions to make as it’s an evolving process for us as we want to continue to get better, however marginal, however big, whatever that is, and to do that there’s a lot of people out of contract now that would expect commitment for a number of years.

“For us to do that then we have to be sure that in the next two years, like we were when we brought them here, that they are going to take us forward and there’s still time for that to change one way or another.

"We have a good idea, it’s just that I really want people to be hungry, as decisions are not concrete yet.”
