The game could see keeper Mark Tyler return to face the side he spent over 15 years at prior to joining Luton, making over 400 appearances for the Posh.

Town boss John Still also had a stint in charge at London Road, while striker Lee Angol made the switch from Kenilworth Road to Peterborough in the summer.

Fellow Luton forward Craig Mackail-Smith had a prolific time at London Road, with Josh McQuoid and Scott Griffiths also playing for Posh as well.

Hatters reached this stage by winning 2-1 at Crawley Town on Saturday, as Peterborough triumphed 3-0 against Burton Albion.

Speaking to the Posh official website, director of football Barry Fry said: “It is a really good draw for us. We always look for a home tie and Luton are a very well supported club so I am sure they will come to the ABAX Stadium in their thousands.

“It is also great because obviously we have a lot of connections with Luton. We get on really well with John Still who used to be the gaffer here and there are quite a few players who played for both clubs.

“Mark Tyler, Scott Griffiths, Josh McQuoid and of course Craig Mackail-Smith are all at Luton and I am sure they will get a great reception from the crowd. It is a tie to look forward to.”
