Hatters forward joins U's on deadline day

Hatters attacker Elliot Lee has joined League One play-off contenders Oxford United on loan for the rest of the season.

The 26-year-old has made 16 appearances for Luton this term, but hasn't started in the Championship since the 1-1 draw against Birmingham on November 24, with just two substitute outings.

U's boss Karl Robinson said of his new addition: "He’s a clever player.

"He can play up front or just behind the striker, he works hard and makes good things happen around the penalty box.

"He has obviously won promotion at Luton so he knows what it takes to be successful at this level and we think he will play a major role for us in the second half of the season.”
