Hatters Q&A with goalkeeper Kevin Pilkington

Q - What is the best penalty you have saved?

Would have to say the one against Mansfield last season. Unfortunately they scored rebound. Felt so bad after the game.

Q - Whats the worst goal you’ve conceded?

The last one! Hate conceding any goal wether it’s a absolute stunner or a mistake from myself. Even in training as the lads will tell you.

Q - How does Luton compare as a football club in all apsects to all the other clubs you have played for?

It’s a great club to play for. Has a lot of history and is still a big club but the current squad has got to make it’s own history. Good people on and off the field and with great supporters.

Q - Do you have any pre-match routines?

Not really. I used to have loads of things I used to do the biggest one was where I ate off the same plate with the same knife and fork the day before a game for a whole season! We got promoted that season though. Maybe I should try it again. Only thing I do now is look up to the skies and have a little chat with my dad.

Q - Fish and chips or curry?

Curry. Favorite dish is lamb tikka biryani with peshwani nan bread.

Q - Have you ever been mistaken for Gervais’ mate Karl Pilkington

No!

Q - Who is your favourite pundit and why?

I like Graeme Souness. Says it like he sees it. Not afraid to upset people.

Q - Who from the Luton squad would make a good pundit?

Dan Walker talks a good game. Gleese would be good with his dry sense of humour.

Q -If you could sign anyone in the world, who would it be?

Current player would be Messi. Very obvious I know but the mans a genius! Past Maradona. Won the World Cup single handed.

Q - Who is the worst dancer at the club?

I’ll take that one! Awful dancer! On a night out you’ll find me at the bar. Looking forward to seeing Godders and Dance’s dance off!

Q - In your view, who is the best goalkeeper to have played the game?

Peter Schmeichal. Unbelievable keeper. Made saves that he had no right to make!

Q - What was the last album you brought?

Kings of Leon. Come around sundown. Went to watch them at Manchester in the summer. Great entertainers and would certainly go and watch them again although getting covered in yellow stuff has put the missus off!
