Jean-Philippe Mateta had put the Eagles in front early on at Selhurst Park, before Cauley Woodrow nodded home in stoppage time to draw the visitors level. To find out how the Hatters rated on the afternoon, see below.
5. Gabe Osho: 7
Back in the side after missing the Villa defeat and had his hands full with Mateta, the Frenchman a huge physical presence throughout, as he struggled to ever fully come out on top of that particular battle, the Eagles forward looking a real threat all afternoon. Couldn't react in time to Doughty's backpass, but appeared to have got back on the line only for Mateta's backheel to beat him. One slight opening himself when he headed over, he took another whack on his knee late in the second half and had to hobble off. Photo: Liam Smith
6. Alfie Doughty: 6
Had a difficult opening to the game as his under-hit backpass to Kaminski allowed Munoz to race clear and eventually find Mateta for the opener. Control also played the Eagles into a good position afterwards, but he battled back well from the poor start, able to get away on the left in the second period at times. Luton's slight period of pressure during the second period came from his crosses, one picking out Morris for an effort that Johnstone saved. Photo: Liam Smith
7. Ross Barkley: 6.5
Put an early header over that saw him take a nasty whack to the face which broke his nose, requiring a lengthy amount of treatment to stop the blood, patch him up to get back out there and continue. Battled through what was clearly a painful injury, as with Palace winning the ball back on a number of occasions, he struggled to have the kind of influence he has enjoyed. Still managed to pick out Osho for a half-chance and dug in to keep on going for the full 90. Photo: Liam Smith
8. Jordan Clark: 6
Had one effort in the first half when a corner was headed out to him, hammering a volley over the top from what was a better opportunity than he might have thought. Almost played his part in the Hatters falling 2-0 behind though when his backpass picked out Mateta, but this time the forward couldn’t make the most of the golden chance that came his way. Although his distribution didn't always come off on the day, managed to send over brilliant cross from the right that almost saw Hashioka bag a first goal. Photo: Liam Smith
