Luton slumped to a disappointing 2-0 defeat at Derby County on Good Friday. The visitors conceded goals early in each half as Wayne Rooney's side picked up a valuable victory in their bid to stay in the Championship this term. To find out how Town rated on the afternoon, see below.
1. Simon Sluga: 6
Keeper had little chance with the first goal, but made a few smart stops in the opening 45 minutes. Wasn’t able to second guess Shinnie’s penalty by staying central, although prevented Byrne from adding to County’s tally.
2. James Bree: 4.5
Outjumped in the area on more than one occasion in the first half as Derby put some dangerous crosses in. Was never able to get forward and join in with Town’s attacks either, seeing a number of corners cleared by the first man.
3. Jordan Clark: 4.5
Found the tricky Sibley a tough cookie in the opening exchanges, but did break occasionally himself, picking out Adebayo who headed wide. Somehow managed to deflect Lawrence's cross-shot behind in the second half.
4. Matty Pearson: 5
Unable to prevent Waghorn from picking out Gregory for the early opener as Town were on the back foot immediately. Did recover to make some brave blocks, and had Luton’s only real chance of the second half, heading over.
