Luton Town reached the Championship play-off final with terrific 2-0 victory over Sunderland on Tuesday night, going through 3-2 on aggregate.
First half goals from Gabe Osho and Tom Lockyer were enough for the Hatters, and to find out how the players rated on the night, see below.
9. Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 9
Luton’s longest serving player is now just one match away from completing his remarkable story of non-league to Premier League. Typified everything that was good about his game on the night, as he was on the front foot from the word go, making sure the Black Cats' had so little time on the ball. One typical banger was blocked, as right at the end he was still pressing and putting his body on the line for the cause. Photo: Liam Smith
10. Carlton Morris (STAR MAN): 9.5
An absolute beast of a performance from the forward as with Luton needing him to bully the Black Cats defence, he did just that, and more. Made sure the visitors back-line struggled to contain him at every opportunity as his hold-up play and running in behind was just top class. No goal himself, clipping one attempt wide, while another was well saved before his last was cleared off the line, but a huge reason why the Hatters are at Wembley. Photo: Liam Smith
11. Elijah Adebayo: 9
The kind of performance he has always been capable of, using his body brilliantly to make sure Sunderland's defence couldn't handle Town's attacking duo. Good cross saw Lockyer glance wide, as he also got to the by-line to tee up Morris as well. Might have added a pressure-relieving third after the break, bulleting one header over and then not pulling the trigger from another, but worked tirelessly throughout. Photo: Liam Smith
12. Allan Campbell (SUB): 7.5
With Luton starting to tire, unsurprisingly so considering the amount of work they had to get through, the Scottish international had the final seven minutes plus stoppage time as he sprinted around to make sure Sunderland's players had as little time possible on the ball to work a crossing opportunity.
