Luton made a superb start to the Championship campaign with an excellent 3-0 win over Peterborough United on Saturday. Elijah Adebayo, Harry Cornick and Fred Onyedinma were all on target in front of a raucous Kenilworth Road crowd. To find out how the hosts rated on the afternoon, see below.
9. Fred Onyedinma (STAR MAN): 9.5
Two assists and a goal made it a dream debut for the summer signing. A constant threat, he was Luton’s most creative outlet, setting up Adebayo and Cornick, before getting the goal he fully deserved to receive a worthy standing ovation.
10. Harry Cornick: 8.5
Got through so much work on the right hand side for the Hatters as they looked dangerous whenever the ball went wide. No such struggles for a first goal this season as in the right place to give Town some breathing space.
11. Elijah Adebayo: 9
Forward carried on his impressive displays from last season leading the line with real authority against the Posh defence. Held things up solidly and scored the type of goal Jones has been after, with a towering back post header.
12. Admiral Muskwe (SUB): 7.5
Came on with 12 minutes to go and ensured the visitors’ back-line didn’t have a moments peace, constantly trying to win the ball back and almost setting up a fourth, Pym gathering his low cross..
