Luton picked up their first away win since September as they gave themselves a fighting chance of avoiding relegation by beating Middlesbrough on Saturday as Ryan Tunnicliffe scored the only goal of the game on 17 minutes to end Town's terrible run of 12 straight defeats on the road and move them just four points from safety.
1. Simon Sluga: 7.5
On a horrible day weather-wise, he looked calm, composed and more importantly very much in control. Didnt have a great deal to do, but solid when called up, and crucially didnt rush things.
2. Matty Pearson: 8.5
Shifted out to right back as Luton altered their back-line and gave an absolutely top-drawer performance. Solid and dependable, with good distribution, hes becoming Towns Mr Reliable this season.
3. Dan Potts: 8
Burst over the half-way line impressively to deliver an excellent cross for Tunnicliffe to grab the only goal of the game. Took another whack in the unmentionables and head injury in the second period forced him off with 20 to go.
4. Cameron Carter-Vickers: 8
Looked the part as he was a key component of a solid defence that kept Boro from any meaningful shots on target. Threat from set-pieces too and early signs are he will be a fine loan acquisition for Town.
