Luton fell to a 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough on Wednesday night, the fifth successive game without a win on the road. Home striker Chuba Akpom netted the only goal on 52 minutes, but despite the hosts going down to 10 men just after the hour mark, James Collins' penalty was disallowed for kicking the ball twice, as Town couldn't manage a leveller. To find out how the visitors rated on the evening, see below.
1. James Shea: 6.5
Was left exposed for Boro striker Akpom to tap home what proved to be the winner early in the second half. Good late save prevented Tavernier from doubling the advantage, while his kicking was sound once more.
2. Matty Pearson: 6.5
A game where it was a case of doing the simple things right and he did for the majority. Was crucially pulled out out of position for the winner, as with Town struggling to get back, he was unable to stop Johnson's cross.
3. Dan Potts: 6.5
Got through a fourth 90 in quick succession and did his job well on the left hand, while his aerial height was handy when defending corners. Almost set up Bradley for an opening goal after just five minutes.
4. Tom Lockyer: 6.5
Very vocal presence on the night for Luton as he kept a handle on the hosts attackers for large parts of the game. Confidence on the ball saw him happy to take a touch and look to bring it forward when possible.
