Hatters rated v Bury

Fraser Franks: 7.5 - Deservedly kept his place in the side and his height and aerial prowess was a definite plus on the day.

Steve McNulty: 9 - Captain was simply magnificent. Positional sense was top notch throughout and never once stopped geeing his troops up.

Luke Wilkinson: 7.5 - Straight back into the side after suspension and like his fellow defenders, relished the challenge.

Michael Harriman: 7 - Wing back role for Harriman at Gigg Lane and he got forward to good effect whenever Hatters broke away.

Nathan Doyle: 8.5 - Such an important component of Town’s line-up these days. Won the ball back and more importantly, when he had done so, never gave it away.

Jonathan Smith: 7.5 - Put in the hard yards once more, breaking away when possible. Final pass occasionally went astray though.

Andy Drury: 7 - Not quite the creative force that Luton might have hoped for, although always a calming presence when in possession.

Scott Griffiths: 6.5 - Showed great determination to set up Town’s goal, but struggled noticeably in the second half as the sickness bug finally got the better of him.

Mark Cullen: 7 - Showed a typical poachers instinct to fire Luton in front and end his mini goal drought, while he led the line well.

Charlie Walker: 6.5 - Deserved first start and had a lively opening 20 minutes, as he almost put Hatters ahead. Will have learned so much from the buffering he took too.

Ricky Miller (SUB): 6 - Unlucky to see second half effort hit the post, but should have stayed on his feet and not given free kick away that led to Bury’s leveller.

Jake Howells (SUB): 6 - Brought on for the struggling Griffiths and held firm during late onslaught.
