Hatters rated v Crawley Town

Elliot Justham: 7.5 - Handling and kicking were up to scratch in tricky conditions for goalkeepers as he made the most of his chance. Wouldn’t be happy with the protection received at the corner in which he conceded from.

Sean Long: 7 - Solid and dependable display from the on-loan right back who is getting better with each game and proving an excellent addition to the back-line since arriving from Reading.

Scott Griffiths: 7 - Kept his place after Dagenham victory and looks to be approaching somewhere near his best form once more as he kept a tight leash on Crawley’s attacking wingers.

Scott Cuthbert: 6.5 - Defender once again had some tricky moments against Harrold as he found it hard to dominate aerially. Always prepared to put his body on the line, but needed to do much, much better for the goal.

Luke Wilkinson: 7 - Was a bit more comfortable than in the League Two clash a few weeks ago. Loves his shots from way out too and one day will get an absolute stunner.

Jonathan Smith: 7 - Showing a definite eye for goal this season, testing Flahavan from distance in the first half. Got around the pitch as ever although passing did occasionally go awry.

Olly Lee: 7.5 - Back in the side and linked the play together impressively with plenty of time on the ball as he looks to force his way back in again. Came close with a magnificent half volley as well.

Alex Lawless: 6.5 - Good driving run and pass to set up Josh McQuoid’s opening strike, but the midfielder couldn’t completely assert his authority on the game in the first half.

Luke Guttridge: 7.5 - Knitted play together while in the centre of midfield as with the ball at his feet he was always looking to create an opening for Marriott. Moved wide when Luton opted for a 4-4-2 but still played his part in the win.

Josh McQuoid (STAR MAN): 8 - Had a chat with his manager about adding goals to his game and did just that with two excellent finishes, the first from distance and the second a real goal poachers attempt. More of the same please.

Jack Marriott: 7.5 - Busy once more from the forward whose display was all the more impressive when it was revealed afterwards he had been battling sickness during his time out there.

Paul Benson (SUB): 7.5 - Great to see the striker back as Luton have missed a player of his ilk. Showed an unexpected turn of pace to set up Hatters’ late winner too.

Danny Green (SUB): 7.5 - Rare chance to impress in recent weeks and grabbed it with both hands with a cameo of classy touches and undoubted quality.
