Hatters rated v Mansfield

Kevin Pilkington: 5.5 – Nothing but routine saves and was twice rescued by his skipper on the line.

Dan Gleeson: 5.5 – Plugged away all evening but has looked weary in recent weeks.

Greg Taylor: 6.5 – Saw plenty of the action on the left, but was up against a physical specimen in Dyer.

George Pilkington: 7.5 (pictured) – Town’s saviour on the night, twice clearing off the line in the nick of time.

Alex Lawless: 6.5 – Did well coming from deep and Luton looked at their most direct with him in possession.

Amari Morgan-Smith: 6.5 – Great to see him back, but looked a little rusty and worryingly hobbled off as he ran out of steam.

Danny Crow: 5.5 – Had his chances and largely muscled out of proceedings by the Stags defence.

Aaron O’Connor: 6 – Plenty of running as always but struggled to get in behind.

Jake Howells: 6.5 – Luton’s most creative force, but Town’s midfield lacked punch on the night.

Adam Watkins: 5.5 – Wasn’t his night, the diminutive midfielder struggled to get into a physical encounter.

Janos Kovacs: 7 – Tower of strength at the back and stood strong to repel the Mansfield barrage.

Stuart Fleetwood (sub): 5 – Given very little service to get stuck into as he was reunited with his old strike partner.

Craig McAllister (sub): 5 – Gave Town more of a presence up front on his debut, but by then the Hatters were already on the back foot.
