Hatters rated v Morecambe

Mark Tyler: 7.5 - Keeper had a quieter outing than his recent matches, as he could do little about Barkhuizen’s leveller. Kicking was assured throughout and his organisation spot on.

Scott Cuthbert: 7.5 - Great to see him back from injury and suspension as he kept things tight at the back. Wonderful last-ditch challenge to deny Aaron Wildig on the stroke of half time too.

Scott Griffiths: 7 - Caught out for the Shrimps leveller as Barkhuizen beat him to the cross. Put it behind him though and played his part in a strong defensive display.

Steve McNulty: 8.5 - Skipper was in his element throughout, particularly after the break when Morecambe looked for a way back. Dealt excellently with all the tricks Ellison tried in the second half too.

Luke Wilkinson: 8 - Given the freedom of the area to head Luton in front as Morecambe’s defence were left gazing. Assured display from then on as Luton look back to their best at the back.

Jonathan Smith: 7.5 - Another who improved as the game wore on, snapping into his challenges during the second period. Never give up attitude typified by his late goal as well. Best return in Luton colours now.

Olly Lee: 7 - Kept things moving through the centre for Town and put in plenty of legwork. Broke away to help set up at attacks and threatened opening his account at the other end too.

Paddy McCourt: 8 - Starting to become the player John Still hoped he would be. At the heart of Town’s best moves all evening and an end product. Always a buzz whenever he is in possession.

Josh McQuoid: 7.5 - Positive display once more as he is happy to get the ball down and run at opponents. Got into some good positions too and that elusive first goal cant be too far away now.

Cameron McGeehan: 7.5 - Well on his way to that target of 15 for the season with his fourth already after making what is now becoming one of his trademark runs into the area. Understanding with Mackail-Smith and McCourt grows game by game too.

Craig Mackail-Smith. 8 - So vital to Town’s attacking momentum as he allows Luton to get up to the pitch and stretches defences from minute one to 90, never once giving up any loose ball. Goals will surely come too.

Nathan Doyle (SUB): 6.5 - Good to see him back on the pitch after a month out. Managed the game effectively towards the end.

Alex Lawless (SUB): 6 - On for the final five minutes as Cuthbert cramped up.

Jack Marriott (SUB): 5.5 - Had the closing seconds when Mackail-Smith was given a well-earned breather.
