Hatters rated v Morecambe

Elliot Justham: 6 - Again made a very important save when left one on one with Redshaw to keep Town in the game. Communication mix-up with Wilkinson proved costly though.

Michael Harriman (STAR MAN): 7.5 - Much more like some of his early form for the Hatters as he was a constant threat on the right flank, sending over a number of fine crosses, including the one for McGeehan’s goal.

Scott Griffiths: 5.5 - Struggled early on as the visitors went 2-0 in front and then removed on the half hour as Town looked for a way back into the game.

Steve McNulty: 6 - The skipper has yet to recapture his form after four game suspension and the lack of clean sheets will definitely hurt him.

Luke Wilkinson: 6 - Rare unconvincing display from Wilkinson as he looked ponderous throughout. Lucky to get away with an error that sent Redshaw clean through, but then needlessly turned Ellison’s cross into his own net.

Jonathan Smith: 6 - Never really got to grips with the Shrimps midfield and found himself getting through plenty of legwork as Morecambe dominated possession. Withdrawn for Oduwa as Luton chased a winner.

Cameron McGeehan: 6.5 - Could count himself fortunate the official didn’t deem his early challenge a straight red. With Luton 2-0 down found his role less restrictive and enjoyed his freedom, scoring a fine header.

Jake Howells: 5.5 - Struggled to get into the game at the start as Luton were left chasing shadows. Reverted to left back when Griffiths was substituted and looked more comfortable there.

Luke Guttridge: 6.5 - Couldn’t quite exert the influence he has done in recent games but always dangerous when on the ball around the Morecambe penalty area.

Shaun Whalley: 5.5 - A few flashes here and there but too often on the periphery and got very little change out of the Shrimps defence.

Mark Cullen: 6.5 - Looked lively but given a tough task with the amount of long balls heading his way and no natural strike partner. Always threatened in the area though and came close to a late leveller.

Alex Lawless (SUB): 7.5 - Real game changer as he was behind most of Town’s best moments in the second half. Had already come close before he equalised and was desperately unlucky to see another hit the keeper and post.

Elliot Lee (SUB): 7 - Was a real bundle of energy once more and helped to increase Luton’s cutting edge. Forced Arestidou into a good stop and unlucky to see another header cannon off the post.

Nathan Oduwa (SUB): 6.5 - Terrorised the Shrimps defence in his brief cameo, creating a number of opportunitiies. Could possibly have tried harder to stay on his feet though in area though.
