Hatters rated v Plymouth Argyle

Mark Tyler: 7.5 - Yet another clean sheet in the bank for Town’s keeper. Beaten once by Reid, but the goal was disallowed and after that, didn’t have a great deal to do.

Michael Harriman: 7.5 - Solid showing at full back from the QPR defender whose pace is a real bonus for Luton. Got forward to support Whalley well too.

Scott Griffiths: 7.5 - Despite suffering from a groin problem, was a key component in Town’s shut out. Managed to venture upfield during the second period too.

Luke Wilkinson: 8 - Rock solid along with the skipper and always a goal threat in the opposition area. In the close stages, it was he who was to the fore with some crucial interventions.

Steve McNulty: 8.5 - Did all the dirty work as you’d expect, but also got Hatters attacks moving with some delightful passing out from the back.

Nathan Doyle (STAR MAN): 8.5 - Oozes class in the centre of midfield for Town. So confident and clever in possession, he really is a joy to watch.

Jonathan Smith: 8 - Won the midfield battle along with Doyle and was always looking to get Luton on the front foot.

Andy Drury: 8 - Finally got the goal he had deserved in recent weeks. Showed great composure when it came too as side-footed perfectly into the bottom corner.

Jake Howells: 8 - Celebrated his 300th game in the perfect fashion. Valuable contributions too he made some fine runs on the left flank and was denied a goal by McCormick twice.

Shaun Whalley: 7.5 - The recalled winger was a constant threat for the Hatters with a willingness to run at his man and also delivered some fantastic crosses from the right flank too.

Jayden Stockley: 7.5 - A real willing outlet upfront for the visitors. Ran the channels, was an aerial threat and came within inches of a first goal on more than one occasion too.
