Hatters table offers for unknown targets

A NUMBER of offers have been tabled for players by the Hatters as they look to beef up their squad for next term, writes Mark Wood.

Having now lost six players since the end of last season and recruited just two, the Town are beginning to make their moves in the transfer market.

With Adam Newton and Lloyd Owusu having been released, Jason Walker having been sold to Conference rivals York, Luke Graham returning to Kettering and Zdenek Kroca and Claude Gnakpa moving to Kilmarnock and Walsall respectively, the Hatters are perhaps looking a little thin on the ground.

Town have bolstered their ranks with the signings of striker Aaron O’Connor and defender Dean Beckwith and more could soon be in the offing.

Managing director Gary Sweet revealed: “We’ve made offers for players and are waiting for replies.”
