Injury keeps striker Hylton out for the Hatters but Shea is back

Luton striker Danny Hylton has been prevented from featuring in Town’s recent matches due to a recurrence of his knee injury, according to boss Nathan Jones

The 32-year-old hasn’t been involved for the last five games, with his last first team action as a late substitute during the 3-0 defeat against Stoke City on February 20.

When asked for an update on the striker, who hasn't scored in his 19 appearances this term, Jones said: “Danny has picked up a recurrence of his knee injury.

"Nothing serious just precautionary really that has curtailed him because I really think he would have impacted in these last games.”

There was better news for goalkeeper James Shea though who was absent from the bench for the 2-1 defeat to Barnsley at the weekend, with Harry Isted recalled from his loan spell at Wealdstone as cover.

Jones added: “He just felt ill, it was illness so he is back, he's trained fully and he is fine.

"It was just illness, so we didn’t take any chances because without going into too much, he felt a little bit dizzy at times so you don’t gamble with that.”
