Town boss Nathan Jones has no qualms about attacker Harry Cornick’s lack of goals so far this season.

The 25-year-old is yet to get off the mark for the Hatters during his 25 appearances this term, and hasn’t found the net since the 1-1 draw at Leeds on June 30.

Even though the goals might not be coming, Cornick remains an important part of the Town set-up and he delivered another fine showing during the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield on Saturday, setting up James Collins for the opening goal, crossing perfectly for the top scorer to tap past Terriers keeper Ryan Schofield.

He continued to send some excellent deliveries into the area as he had done at Blackburn the previous weekend, with his team-mates unable to make the most of the chances, as Jnes said: “When you play in wide areas you have to go in and beyond, have to go in on that back stick, have to get tap ins, have to be one v one and get shots off and be a threat.

“Harry’s a threat, Harry’s a constant threat, he really is and with his running, his pace, his desire to keep doing well, so I’ve got no worries about Harry.

“Goals will come, assists and he put a level of balls in that were wonderful, I thought he was excellent I really, really did.

"What we need is to convert those, when we’re on the front foot take our chances, but this is a real tough league.

"We watch lots of games, the margins are so, so small, there are some teams that are wonderful at this level, have been at this level for a long time, got a lot of money to spend and recruit well.

"Now we’re building into that, so this is the first time Harry’s been at this level, the first time most of them have been at this level.

"We’ve just got to keep ploughing away, keep doing the right things and if you keep doing the right things then results will come."
