Luton chief Nathan Jones is keeping the future of Town’s out of contract players close to his chest ahead of their first match back in the Championship since early March when they host Preston North End this weekend.

Of the first team squad, Danny Hylton, Luke Berry, Elliot Lee, Callum McManaman, Glen Rea, Elliot Lee and Marek Stech will all be free agents this summer, along with Lloyd Jones and Jake Jervis.

Town also have options on Donervon Daniels, Jacob Butterfield and Kazenga LuaLua, who signed 12 month contracts in the summer.

The club will need to offer short term deals for players to turn out for the Hatters during the remaining nine games of the campaign and asked if this had been done already, Jones said: “That will remain in-house, we have to make sure that privacy is held.

"We know what we’re going to do moving forward in the short term.

"A few things will depend on our league status, that’s something that’s in hand and will remain in private.”
