The 24-year-old originally penned a short-term deal in August but has since impressed greatly in his six appearances in Town colours so far.

Lee, whose brother Elliot had a loan spell at Kenilworth Road last season, made his Hatters debut in the 1-1 draw with Premier League Stoke City during the Capital One Cup.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Lee said: “I’m really pleased.

“I knew I had confidence in myself to do a good job and I’m glad the manager is pleased with my contribution.

“Now I’m looking forward to the rest of this season and the seasons ahead.”

Meanwhile, boss John Still said: “Olly has been excellent since his arrival.

“He did terrifically on his debut to play 120 minutes against a strong Premier League side, and he has fitted seamlessly into our style of play.

“He gives us something different in the centre of midfield, a calm, composed head on the ball.

“It’s a credit to Olly that he’s worked hard and impressed us in such a short space of time for him to be rewarded for his efforts.

Midfielder Nathan Doyle was also impressed by the addition of Lee, as he said: “Olly’s a great player.

“We had his brother last year and he’s a great player too.

“They’re from a footballing family with his dad being Rob Lee and you can see if filters down.

“Olly’s done tremendously well since he’s come in, so have Jonathan Smith and Cameron McGeehan.

“It all leads to good competition for places, and that’s what we want to see in the football club.”
